VIllainess Brother Chapter 27

Chapter 27 : Karen's Circumstances

The next day, after being blown away by Cheryl-sensei, begin my second magic class after the manners education is over.

Although I say, this is practically my first time though.

I tried to apologize to Cheryl-sensei about what happened yesterday, but Emma said, "Stop it!", so I stopped.

It seems that it just going to increase and buying her anger by digging up unnecessary things.

Cheryl-sensei is also being Cheryl-sensei.

"Shall we start then?" (Cheryl-sensei)

She doesn't look like she particularly cares about blowing a child away with magic.

How about that in its own way?

"Please"

Hm?

Karen is not here......

After my greetings, I realized that Karen wasn't here.

If I have to say it accurately, it's not that she was not here.

Even though we should have come to the garden together, for some reason she is silently practicing swinging by herself in a place a little further away.

Just what is that guy doing? The magic class is starting, you know?

"Excuse me. I'll go call her in for a bit."

I tried to leave the place to call Karen.

However,

"Wait, Karen's good."

I was stopped by Cheryl-sensei.

What for? Didn't she say she would teach Karen too?

"Why is that?"

"Because there wasn't any need for her to learn. Karen can't use magic."

"e?"

She can't use magic you say?

It shouldn't be like that, should be.

In the books written about magic in my father's study and book storage, it was written that the magic itself could be used by anyone, although the number of magic that could be used was different depending on the amount of magic power one possessed.

"Isn't magic can be use by anyone?"

"I didn't explain enough didn't I? It's only now that she can't use it."

"Only now?"

"That's right. Karen has too much magic power, you see. If she were to exercise magic, there is a fear that spontaneous discharge could end up happening due to a slight mistake. That's why, until the time comes, I've put a seal on her so that she can't use magic."

Sealing her magic power because there is a risk of her exploding?

Isn't that......

"Could it be that Karen is a 'Devil Child'?"

A "Devil Child" is a child born possessing phenomenal magic power that is not normally possible. (In some countries, they are called Evil Spirit (Devil), Zenith Demon, etc.)

An enormous amount of magic power that is too much for a young body to bear eats away at the body and shortens the lifespan at a terrifying speed.

As a result, the body of a child with an abnormal constitution, called a "Devil Child", has a working defense function that tries to consume magic power, and magic will end up being activated regardless of the said person's will.

The damage was enormous.

It was a very dangerous existence, and it was written in history books that it was born into this world once every several hundred years.

"You know a lot, don't you, Luke? However, she's different."

"R-Right, of course. I've never had any damage from magic before anyway."

I sigh in relief.

It's because it was written in the book that there are countries that will dispose of Devil Children as dangerous elements as soon as they are discovered.

The Serena Kingdom doesn't seem to fall into this category, but I don't think they will be treated very well.

I'm really glad Karen isn't a Devil Child.

Yesterday, after Cheryl-sensei reaped my consciousness, it seems she tried to teach Karen magic.

Apparently, at that time, she felt a strange occurrence and immediately sealed Karen's magic power.

There are two reasons for sealing magic.

One is to prevent the outburst of magic from happening.

And the second is to prevent the magic power from damaging Karen's body.

Just like a Devil Child, the magic power was eating away at Karen's body.

The bruises on her face and body were inflammations caused by magic power inside her body.

Even if she went to try and see a street doctor, far from being able to heal her, they couldn't even find the cause.

According to Cheryl-sensei's story, it seems Karen was inflamed due to the amount of magic power that was not proportionate to her young body.

It's like, as her body grows, her resistance to magic power also increases, and her inflammation too subsides little by little.

Therefore, Cheryl-sensei says that as Karen grows, it seems the seal on her magic power will unbind little by little.

Alright, I'll go widen the gap till then!
